Hebden Bridge Arts Festival: Hill Millies

I managed to catch a little bit of the Hebden Bridge Hill Millies performance as part of the arts festival in St George's Square. Despite a brutal onslaught of midges they put in a lively performance and I grabbed a few action shots of the dances and musicians as well as a group portrait.

They have great outfits and seemed a very smily, friendly group. This is how they describe themselves:

'We are a Women's Morris Dancing side based in Hebden Bridge. We meet every Thursday 8pm and practise at the Holme Street Arts Centre (underneath the Trades Club, entrance to left of the Trades) It's fun exercise, and a sense of humour, enthusiasm and couple of white hankies are all that's required, oh and maybe some money for a couple of drinks after... come along and let yourself go, its a great giggle and a lovely group.'
